Blondie Lockes ~ Enchanted Picnic Doll Review

If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you’ll know two things about me: I absolutely LOVE bows, and I absolutely LOVE the Ever After High doll Blondie Lockes! She’s my favorite doll! So when the newest Blondie Lockes doll was listed as “in-stock” on Toot’s Toys, I just HAD to grab her!

I mean look at her! How could you not love this adorable girl!

I (unfortunately) did not take photos of the doll while still in her box. (Sorry) I just couldn’t wait! I ripped into that box so fast… well.. you’ll see the rip in a second.

This doll comes in a slim box (similar to the Mirror Beach dolls) with no keyhole in the side. I’m pretty sure this is the indication they are using to show the doll will not come with a stand, as this doll had nothing in that spine area.

More Blondie art. How adorable is she?!

The premise behind this line is that today is “a magically beautiful day in The Land of Ever After, so the girls have packed a basket with spellicious treats and are headed outside for a truly Enchanted Picnic.”

The back of the box features the art for the other two dolls in this line, Raven and Cerise.

These dolls are Made in China. I have also provided the barcode here, in case you want to go scan at your local stores.

How about we get to that doll now!

Blondie is such a beautiful doll. Her hair is swept back from her face with a headband that is rubberbanded to her head.

Blondie features her Made in China eyes with light blue eyeshadow and pale pink lips.

Blondie’s eyes are all so very different, so I thought I’d put her up against some of the other Blondies in my collection. Seriously, I have a little Blondie army going on over here.

Whoo! That’s a lot of different eyes!

Blondie’s headband features three little blue bows.

The headband is slightly different in front and back. Additionally, it has two little nubs on the sides. I don’t know if that is to hold it on better? Or what?

The headband sweeps her bang back. It may be hard to see, but near her ear, you can see the shorter ends that are her bands. This also shows that the Enchanted Picnic Blondie wears no earrings.

Blondie’s hair is the same beautiful yellow blonde.I think I should also note here that in all of these photos, I had already brushed Blondie’s hair. Straight out of the box, her hair was rock hard. It was almost like someone had poured Elmer’s glue or something all over it. This all brushed out, but it was a little alarming to take her out of the box and have her hair be like that.

Blondie’s dress is one-piece. It features a solid black collar, blue and white background, with yellow ribbons, bows, and bear heads. The bottom is a yellow ruffle.

Blondie’s shoes are all black. They have ruffles and bows, but all of the details are hard to see because they are monochromatic.

Blondie carries an ADORABLE bag that looks just like a little bear! I don’t know if this is her “basket” for the picnic, or just a purse. Regardless, I LOVE it!

And that’s Blondie! What do you think? Will you be adding her to your collection?
She SHOULD be a budget doll and she SHOULD be priced less than $20, but that’s my personal opinion. This doll comes with no stand, no brush, and no additional accessories. I know I’ll be picking up a second one when she comes to stores. I have two of every Blondie (except Thronecoming) and I doubt that will change with this one. Her blue eyeshadow is such a nice compliment to her outfit.

  1. Dangit, I thought I was going to like this one, but her lip color is too light for me. It makes her look washed out, especially next to the other Blondies. I do love the bear purse, but I can live without it. I think it’s going to be hard to find a Blondie I like better than Just Sweet, who’s the only one I really like at all.

    1. I’m the exact opposite in opinion tbh. I find the lighter lips look more natural and sweet while the darker looks like a 5 year Olds first attempt with “mommy’s makeup”.
