Cedar features lavender and brown hair. This doll has MUCH more lavender than the signature dolls, and I am such a fan! This is her hair straight out of the box, I have not modified it or brushed it at all.
The stock photos for Cedar Wood show her hair with two strands coming down like bangs. These strands are not present in the doll as she comes from the box, but there are two strands that are rubberbanded in the back. You could probably recreate this look, but I like her hair this way.
Cedar wears light purple eyeshadow. She has the same style lipstick as her signature doll, but the coloring is different. The middle is a bright pink color. It is close to the coral of her dress/hat, but is slightly more pink. The outsides of her lipstick is the same shimmery lavender/grey that she wears as her top eyeshadow.
The skirt is lavender with little white flowers. The next layer has teacups and little crickets! How cute!
You can also see Cedar’s gloves here. (What happened to that picture, Raye?) Cedar has black gloves with little bows on them. Her plastic cuffs are ruffled with a little eye-hole like a marionette would have.
Cedar’s shoes are lavender with a gold heel. She wears ankle high white socks (they may be LIGHT lavender, depending on the light) Did you notice the little cricket on the strap? That coral stitching on the top of her socks perfectly matches her dress and her hat. Ah, the little details!
This is where my review ends. I had every intention of photographing Cedar with her cups and taking comparison photos of her with the signature doll. I may still do this, but a little accident prevented me from finishing. (When trying to make Cedar hold a cup, it went FLYING off of my balcony. I had to go downstairs to get it, and ran into our new neighbor. We chatted for about three hours, and then I had completely lost the light)
So that’s Cedar Wood, the Hat-tastic version!
If you could only have one, which should you buy? HAT-TASTIC! HAT-TASTIC! HAT-TASTIC! She has amazing lavender in her hair, super cute shoes, and this coral color is beyond words. I’d seriously love to have a whole wardrobe in this color, but it wouldn’t look as good on me as it does her.
What do you think? Will Hat-tastic Cedar join your collection?
