Monster High Exchange Program ~ Lorna McNessie

The other doll I purchased from Toot’s Toys from the Exchange Program was Lorna McNessie.

Lorna McNessie

Lorna is on the little sister body. She is the daughter of the Loch Ness Monster. She loves to photobomb, but I think you’ll like these photos where she is the center of attention.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna has blue skin and orange hair. She has matching orange eyebrows. Her eyes are blue with a grey eyeshadow. She has pink lips with upwards-facing fangs.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna wears a plaid beret that is attached to her head with those little plastic tabs. I’m not going to take it off; I’m too scared it would never fit back on her head!

Lorna McNessie
Lorna’s orange hair is actually multiple shades. The top curls that are coming out of a high ponytail are a darker color than the bottom locks. Her curls are nice, but could still probably use a little work.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna wears one earring on her right side. The black design has what looks like a fin on the bottom and goes up her ear.

Lorna McNessie
You can see the shape of Lorna’s ear on her left side. Like Marisol, Lorna’s ear has a small indent where it would have been pierced, but she doesn’t come with an earring on that side.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna wears a two-piece outfit. She has a black belt with an attached shoulder strap.

Lorna McNessie
Her top is a red shirt with ruffled sleeves and a black mesh at the top.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna’s skirt is reminiscent of a kilt in the way it overlaps in the front. (Or at least that’s where my thoughts wandered when I saw it). The skirt features a design of multiple loch ness monsters.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna’s skirt has two small pieces of velcro to allow for her tail.

Lorna’s bag has scroll work all over it.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna wears black shoes with a grey platform. The platforms look like little bricks. The black parts have a lace-up front.
Her legs feature a removable fin (similar to Lagoona’s in style).

Lorna McNessie
Lorna has adorable little feet! Her scales extend down her leg and almost to her toes.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna has webbed little fingers and a fin on her forearms.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna has an AMAZING tail with multiple fins. I love how it curls and has this awesome shape. It also snaps into her body very nicely! I hate those tails that keep falling out.

Lorna McNessie
Lorna’s body has this AMAZING detailing all over it! She has scales all around her arms and legs. Her torso is covered in what looks like Celtic scrolls.
There also appears to be some discoloration of her hands in this photo, but that isn’t true on the doll. The camera catches this difference due to the different plastics, I assume.

Lorna McNessie
Look at the cute tushy! Lorna’s scales extend to her back as well.

Lorna McNessieLorna McNessie
Lorna’s blue skin is a different color than 13Wishes Lagoona. Lagoona is more blue than Lorna.

To me, Lorna looks better in orange and black. I don’t like to mix too many colors, and I think she looks better in orange than her red top.

Lorna McNessie
And that’s Lorna! She’s adorable! If you only get one new monster from the Exchange line, I would recommend Lorna! The daughter of the Loch Ness Monster?! Oh yeah! Her body is super detailed, her face is adorable, and her tail makes for a great expression feature. I can’t wait to take photos of her and her photobombing personality!

  1. I’m so glad I found your post. I just recently got Lorna, and her box was open in the shipper and I saw she only had one earring. I thought I either had a defective doll or her earring fell out of her ear and out of her box. I was seriously on the fence about this girl when I finally got her, but you are making me see her in a different light and I can\’t wait to debox her. :-)
