Mystixx Dolls ~ Toy Fair 2014

I have been the biggest fan of the Mystixx dolls. These are the dolls that have two faces and can change between a “normal” girl face to a vampire, zombie, or grimm monster face. The dolls have wigs that allow their hair to turn with the head, as well as giving the doll options for her hair color and style. The idea behind these dolls is pretty neat. You can see some of my Mystixx dolls here.

Anyways, the purpose of this post was to talk about the new Mystixx dolls from New York Toy Fair 2014. These images come to us from http://toyfair14.asmzine.com/
Let’s just get to the images:

That appears to be all fashion packs put onto the Vampires dolls. I’m really not impressed. All of the shoes are recasts and some of the wigs are repeats as well. The first set of fashion packs never showed up in my area, and I’m just not excited about these new ones.

The next thing they showed off was a Rococo line. I couldn’t even read the label, I thought it said “Roeoeo” and was imagining some kind of rodeo. Anyways, these get a tiny bit better:

This purple-haired doll is the only one I can get excited about. She’d better come with this pink frilly outfit, and not some random blue skirt like in the package. The other dolls are just sad. Their hair isn’t styled, their stockings are bunched. This is Toy Fair!

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Mystixx dolls? Did you like this new line-up?

  1. I have always been a huge fan of the Rococo style. These don’t look bad, but I am not in love with them. I think Mystixx lose so much between their artwork and the actual doll.
