SmartGurlz Dolls – A Toy Fair Find

So remember how I was telling you that I still get all the Toy Fair emails? Hidden in one of those gems was this: SmartGurlz Dolls. I’ve emailed the company to see if we can get more information or if I can do a review of one of these gals for you guys. Here’s what I know so far:

Meet Jen, a cool handy, teen mechanic who can repair pretty much anything in a jiffy.
Jen is studying mechanical engineering and dreams of inventing the next new thing.

Jen has several friends including Maria the math genius, Zara the computer scientist, Jun the chemistry star, and Emma the creative artist. Right now only Jen and Maria are available to purchase, the others are listed as coming soon. In the box you get the Siggy, the vehicle seen above, that is app-enabled, along with the SmartGurlz doll and e-book. The whole premise behind these dolls is that you can program the Siggy using an app enabled tablet. The Siggy has self-balancing movement as well as an autonomous behavior mode. The two kits retail for €99.00.

  1. What I’m wondering is if they’re so smart, why can’t they spell “girls” correctly?!

Other than that it sounds kinda like Mc2.

  2. Hey there! I’ve been following your web site for a long time now and
finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from New Caney Tx!
Just wanted to tell you keep up the excellent job!
